Measuring your wall correctly is one of the most important steps before ordering peel and stick wallpaper. Since wallpaper murals are printed to fit a specific wall size, taking a few careful measurements can help avoid ordering the wrong size.
Measure the full width of your wall
Use a tape measure to measure the full width of the wall from left to right. Measure across the widest part of the wall, especially if there are corners, trim, windows, or uneven edges.
Measure the full height of your wall
Measure from the top of the wall down to the floor or baseboard. If your wall height changes slightly from one side to the other, use the tallest measurement.
Add extra space for trimming
We recommend choosing a wallpaper size that is slightly larger than your wall. This gives you extra material to trim during installation and helps create a cleaner edge.
Check doors, windows, and furniture placement
If your wall has windows, doors, shelves, or furniture, still measure the full wall size. The wallpaper should be ordered based on the full wall area, not only the visible open space.
