How to Install Peel and Stick Wallpaper

Peel and stick wallpaper is designed to make wall decorating easier, but proper preparation is still important. A clean, smooth wall and careful installation can help your wallpaper look better and last longer.

Start with a smooth, clean wall

Peel and stick wallpaper works best on smooth, clean, dry interior walls. Avoid rough texture, dust, moisture, brick, concrete, or freshly painted walls that have not fully cured.

Prepare your wall before installing

Wipe the wall with a clean dry cloth to remove dust. Make sure the surface is dry before applying wallpaper. Remove hooks, nails, outlet covers, or wall decor before you begin.

Plan your first panel carefully
